Will Crimson Cash be needed for the Academic year? 
Yes, Crimson Cash is the primary form of payment for paying for laundry, print and is an accepted form of payment at on campus retail dining locations. 
 
If I am an incoming student how to I sign up for Crimson Cash? 
If you have a Harvard ID, you already have a Crimson Cash Account! No sign-up is required! Visit the Crimson Cash website to add funds, view your transactions and find updated information on locations accepting Crimson Cash

When and where can Crimson Cash be used as a form of payment this academic year?

  • Retail dining until 12/31/2024
  • Laundry until 6/30/2025
  • Print and Copying until 6/30/2025
  • Student Grilles until 6/30/2025
  • Grub Hub Program until 6/30/2025

 
Which Student Grilles accept Crimson Cash as a form of payment and when will the program end?

  • Crimson cash will be accepted as a form of payment at the following Student Grilles until 6/30/2025:
    • Cabot Grille
    • Eliot Café
    • Dunster Grille
    • Pfoho Grille
    • Quincy Grille
    • Winthrop Grille

When will Crimson Cash no longer be accepted at On Campus Retail dining locations? 
As of January 1, 2025 Crimson Cash will not longer be accepted at the  following On Campus Retail Dining locations
 
What happens if I still have money in my account when the program is retired?  
All Crimson Cash account holders are eligible to receive a refund of their remaining balance. Please visit this link to request closing your Crimson Cash account and request a refund 
 
How long do I have to receive a refund of my Crimson Cash funds?  
The Crimson Cash team will issue refunds until June 30, 2026. 
 
In what form will my available Crimson Cash funds be returned?  
The Crimson Cash team will work with stakeholder to provide a refund via payroll, term bill, or check.  
 
Can you transfer Crimson Cash funds back to my credit/debit card?  
No, you will need to request a refund from the Crimson Cash Account team.  
 
How will I be able to check my available fund balance after the program has ended 
June 30, 2026.

My program relies on Crimson Cash for participant support, what are the alternatives for participants who may not have access to a credit card?  
Please see the Crimson Cash web site for each Crimson Cash location and form of payments.  Harvard University Dining Services can support program participants with meal plans and/or gift cards for use in HUDS-operated facilities.   
 
Will I still be able to add funds to my Crimson Cash account?  
Yes, until June 2025.   
 
How long will I have to use up the funds in my Crimson Cash account?  
Crimson Cash account holders can utilize their Crimson Cash funds until June 30, 2025.  Please see the corresponding table below as to when each component will stop accepting Crimson Cash as a form of payment.  
 
Are white cards eligible for a refund?
Per the existing Crimson Cash policy, Crimson Cash generic white cards are not eligible for refund. 
 
How will students pay for laundry, print and copying after July 1, 2025?   
Leadership is looking at options to streamline laundry, print, and copying funding and payment methods.  More information will become available over the next academic year.
